As a result of a joint venture between Daimler and Renault / Nissan called Cooperation Manufacturing Plant Aguascalientes (COMPAS) a new automobile assembly plant was opened 4-Q 2017 in the Central Part of Mexico at the City of Aguascalientes (where 2 other Nissan plants are located).

This new Plant will be producing vehicles for both Infinity and Mercedes Benz brands, the majority of which will be exported through the Ports of Altamira and Mazatlán.

AMPORTS has been awarded the Altamira traffic which will begin receiving COMPAS vehicles in this 2-Q 2018.
